MEET THE TEAM
Jerry Oleson
Owner/Trainer/Head Motivator
I.S.S.A. certified trainer, motivator to many. It is my passion to push others to achieve their dreams. I find fitness is an outlet for many, and a lifestyle that all should embrace. Healthy people are happy people. Many fear walking through the doors of the unknown in the beginning, but once a person enters the world of fitness and learns the proper ways of working out, they blossom to a whole new level of confidence, at the gym and in life.
Michelle Lorenz
Owner/Trainer/Sports Nutrition Coach
My philosophy for wellness is simple; fitness can be and should be fun. Try our group fitness classes and you will be surprised at how fun, fast and effective your workout can be. I love what I do, and motivating others to learn to enjoy it is my mission. Through my own personal journey of weight loss and maintaining a healthy lifestyle, I am able to help others meet their goals and realize success. With hard work, anything is possible!

During the day, I work at Mercy Hospital as a Resource Data Analyst. I have been with this company for 23 years. I have been married for 28 years, and together we have built a beautiful home and raised an amazing son.
I started working out when I was in my mid 30s. I fell in love with fitness and how amazing I felt afterwards. I have never been a runner, but I have done quite a few 5Ks and have run nine Spartans, for which I have two Trifectas. Being part of PCF has inspired me to go out of my comfort zone (running) and try new things, even at the ripe age of 50+.
I’m excited to be part of the PCF Byron team, and to have the pleasure and opportunity to help others achieve their goals. It’s pure joy to walk in and see my gym family every week, and I’m looking forward to seeing what great things they will accomplish.

40 years old, Mother of 2. I started my PCF fitness journey as a member in August of 2017. At that time I was extremely unhealthy and overweight. I remember feeling desperate to get fit and feel better about myself. I had tried every diet that was on the market with little to no results, and I decided it was time for a change. Using the PCF philosophy and support of the trainers and members I have successfully lost and kept off over 80 lbs. and am in the best fitness shape of my life.
Through PCF I was able to train and complete 5k, 8k, 10k, 10-mile races and a half-marathon along with multiple OCR races such as Spartan, Tough Mudder, Warrior Dash, and Frontline OCR. In 2019 I recently completed my first Spartan Trifecta.
Now as a trainer I want to give back to PCF what has been given to me. I believe it is the membership that makes PCF unique and I will push you outside your comfort zone to reach your goals. I know what it takes because I have been there. I want to help you find your inner strength and happiness in seeing the changes you are willing to work for and earn. PCF is more than a gym, and my personal experience and dedication gives me a perspective that makes me more than a trainer.

Here's what people are saying about PCF
The atmosphere is amazing. Felt at home day one. Love meeting new people. And the encouragement from others and the safe positive push from instructors is the way to go! Would highly recommend!
PCF is the most amazing place to challenge your mind, body and soul. the trainers are the most amazing motivators and they will help you achieve any goal you set before yourself. they have your back. joining PCF was the best thing I have ever done for myself.
PCF has pushed me to new fitness levels. Doing things I usually avoid because I’m not good at it and seeing results. Getting stronger and faster! Love the team and family feel!
In the past I’ve been streaky at best with gyms. It seems like I always get super motivated for a month or two and then find an excuse to stop going. (I assume most can relate)
I’ve been going to Power Combat Fitness for a year now (August 13) and my motivation has only grown since the beginning. The combination of having an extremely helpful, encouraging, knowledgeable trainers along with an amazing supportive member base makes it easy to keep coming back.
I love how they are constantly creating new and diverse workouts each month. Jerry Oleson Michelle Lorenz are GREAT at creating customized and constantly evolving workouts that have allowed me to improve on functional strength, increase power, and reduce body fat while minimizing injury. The workouts are targeted and intense but still manageable. I promise you will not be bored! No matter what your fitness level is: an elite athlete, beginner or anything in between there is a place for you and your goals. So I encourage you to come by and try it out for a week, I know you will love it too!!

This is my third week with power combat fitness and it’s been a wonderful addition to my morning routine! Although 5 AM can be tough, the energy of class is always motivating and positive. We are all there for the right reasons. There are other class times too if 5am doesn’t work out. I’ve appreciated how friendly and supportive the group has been. Oh, and the workouts have kicked this mom of 3’s butt!!

This place makes me feel like an athlete again (even as a mom). It’s an awesome feeling. I love the flexibility of attending whatever class time fits your schedule that day. I love the trainers. I love the people that also attend. Great place that has truly changed my life for the better.

Trainers are awesome. They are fun and really care about you. Workouts adjust to wherever you are on the fitness scale. All you have to do is sincerely try your best and every member will be rooting for you.
